First birthdays are a big deal. Not just for the baby but for the parents, too. So much happens in that first year, it's always a little bittersweet to watch your tiny baby transform into a toddler. They suddenly give your peeks at their personality, their natural gifts. And this little soon-to-be toddler is one of very refined taste. With each bite of the cake, little Ms. Kennedy would take a deep breath, pout her lips, and nod vigorously. That girl was LIVING. I felt like I was missing out for not having a bite!
Ms. Thang would not stop saying hi and smiling at her dad. She LOVES her family! And I can't blame her. She has the sweetest big brother, Jaxon, an incredibly kind and friendly mom, and a super hard-working and fun dad. This girl scored the jackpot when it comes to families. When I asked Kylie if she had any advice she would give to other Moms, she said, "Just keep going! Life is rough, but it’s always a new day tomorrow! And if all else fails get out of the house & go get ice cream which makes everything better!" Truer words have never been spoken.
Kylie and John, thank you so much for letting me celebrate Kennedy and your family! It's always a treat for me to get to see how much families love each member at the big moments of their life. You truly celebrate them well! And your attitude of "just keep going" gives you an optimism and warmth that's so welcoming. I'm grateful to have met you and to call you my friends.
